Let God Open The Window...

The hardest thing we do in life is wait sometimes for the things we want. So many times in life we just have to wait. My mom always told me Patience is a Virtue and trust me it was never my strongest one.

I am currently in BSF ( Bible Study Fellowship) every Wednesday morning and we are studying Moses this year.

You want to talk about the King of Waiting, I will crown Moses right now. I have learned so much about God's will and the Salvation through the power of Exodus. ( GO RE READ NOW)

Two things about me is I am a planner and a go getter. I will find ways to make things happen but isnt it funny that sometimes the answer is No or Not Right Now!

Yesterday, I truly saw God give me a not right now and open a different window. The not right now happened yesterday morning, and it was something I thought I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted RIGHT NOW!  I prayed about it and felt good about it, so I truly didn't understand why it didn't happen? We can sometimes question God, but he hushed me real quick with a power of an email for a different window that might be the Right Now.

We as Christian can say very quickly that God's Will is best, but its very very hard when its not what we want to hear or even what we had planned. No matter how much I plan or am willing to hustle to get it I know its not going to happen or bring me joy for the Lord if its not his Will!!!

My prayer today for all of you is for getting through those closed doors and finding even more joy in the windows he opens for us!

Blessings from the Ruby Crown,

Christy

Jesus and Jewelry

Yes I titled my blog Jesus and Jewelry! I have been thinking about this topic for a while because I feel as Christians we can be some of the most critical and judgmental. We have certain ideals about what we read in the bible and especially what makes us a strong christian and what Jesus wants for our lives.

As a Christian women who clearly loves all things fashion, jewelry, hair , makeup etc I think about putting my best foot forward. At Church I would never wear anything but my best not because its a fashion show but because its in respect of God. I was taught from a young age to wear our best to church because we give our best to God. Others best may vary but I will never get behind the pajama church movement. ( I might have to have another blog post on that one)

In day to day life I like to wear trendy, fashionable clothing, but also the things I wear are never inappropriate as well. ( Don't worry I love to wear workout clothes too!) I can sometimes be judged pretty harshly for this because someone would say I don't look like a Christian?

However, just because I love all things fashionable doesn't make my relationship with Jesus any less, because he always comes first and everything else comes second. I hope this will spark an anti judgement campaign and we can see the light of Jesus before anything else.

The verse hanging in my daughters bathroom is below:

Our worth is so much more than a "Ruby Crown" fancy clothes or jewelry but it doesn't mean that we cant love to wear those things and still honor God! We are not meant to not enjoy the things in this world, as long as the things of this world never come before our relationship with God and always honor him.

One of the ways my love of Jewelry has expanded has been by being a stylist through Stella & Dot! I have absolutely loved being part of this company, and has also been a way of extra income for my family!  The new holiday collection is out and I'm loving all the great gift ideas! Go Check it out now www.stelladot.com/christywcreson or contact me about setting up a holiday show.

So wear your favorite jewels or jeans or whatever makes you YOU, but make sure that your light for Jesus shines way more than those Jewels!

I'm Back with a Ruby Crown!

I love the idea of a blog because you have an outlet to get your views, passions and your story to people all over the world or maybe just your mom and best friend.

I had the most extraordinary opportunity to compete in the Mrs America 2015 pageant representing North Carolina, and it was one of the most life changing experiences of my life. I did not walk away with the Mrs America crown but I did walk away with the "Ruby Crown"

What does the "Ruby Crown" mean???  This is my new inspiration for my updated blog and what I want to share with the world, or maybe just my mom and best friend ;)

The women I met at Mrs America helped give me this life changing experience. I met some of the most God fearing inspirational women at Mrs America, and I am so glad that God gave me the opportunity to meet them and be inspired by them.

I left Mrs America with a Mountain top experience, I felt closer to God than I had in a very long time and utterly inspired to share my faith and also incorporate my passion for fashion, hair, makeup, cheer, dance, family and everything that makes me...ME

Today is a new beginning and the start of  Ruby Crown " A Kings Daughter"
Proverbs 31:10  says Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies!

We as women can spend a lifetime trying to keep our confiendce high because we live in a world that it can easily be destroyed. I can attest that you as a Kings Daughter are a true princess and are more than; pageant titles, bad relationships, finances, work problems, mommy exhaustion, and of course far above "Rubies"

I spent my year as Mrs North Carolina spreading the word that the Ordinary can be Extraordinary and now that my year is coming to a close, I can move to the next chapter of my life while using the extraordinary opportunity I had as Mrs North Carolina.

Ruby Crown will now be a place of inspiration through  fashion and style, mommy moments, hair and makeup tutorials and of course a place of faith and all the blessings we can experience as a "Kings Daughter"

I cant wait to share with all of you and a little disclaimer I will post hopefully though-out the week but mommy time will always come first.   I can also promise that I wont always have perfect grammar. I write like I speak and usually in a fury, so its a blog not the New York Times!

I'm excited about my new project and if you have a story to tell or something you would like to share I would love to have guests posts!

I also want to give a shout out to another inspirational lady who just happens to be Mrs New Jersey and became such a sweet friend Jennifer Porrata she has an amazing ministry www.ourlifesongs.com Please go check out her ministy!
